Completing check-ins, checkouts, room assignments, and payment transactions accurately. Assisting guests with questions, requests, directions, local recommendations, and hotel information. Answering telephone calls and responding to guest inquiries professionally and promptly. Monitoring reservations, room availability, special requests, and guest accounts. Partnering with Housekeeping to communicate room status, priority arrivals, special requests, and room-readiness needs. Responding thoughtfully to guest concerns and identifying solutions that help restore confidence in their experience. Supporting airline crews, business travelers, groups, and leisure guests with accuracy and attention to detail. Confirming transportation, wake-up calls, packages, and other guest arrangements when needed. Keeping the Front Desk, lobby, and guest-facing areas organized, welcoming, and ready for the day. Staying calm and adaptable when the lobby gets busy, the phone starts ringing, and several guests need assistance at once. Taking pride in the small interactions that can make a lasting impression. You are friendly, approachable, and comfortable connecting with guests from different backgrounds. You can balance warmth and efficiency while maintaining accuracy and professionalism. You communicate clearly with guests, Curators, leaders, and other departments. You remain composed and solution-focused when addressing guest concerns or unexpected situations. You are comfortable learning hotel systems, processing payments, and handling confidential guest information responsibly. You understand the importance of accurately following special billing, group, and airline-crew instructions. You bring dependability, organization, and a service-first mindset to every shift. You believe hospitality means making people feel seen, welcomed, and cared for. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous customer service, Front Desk, or hospitality experience preferred. Hotel experience is a plus. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to provide professional, friendly, and attentive guest service. Basic computer skills and the ability to learn hotel reservation and property-management systems. Ability to process payments and maintain accurate guest accounts. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills. Ability to follow detailed billing, reservation, group, and airline-crew instructions. Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs. Bilingual communication skills preferred, but not required. Work Environment and Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift. Ability to use computers, telephones, payment-processing equipment, and other Front Desk technology. Ability to bend, reach, lift, carry, and move items such as guest packages, supplies, and Front Desk materials. Ability to lift or move up to 25 pounds as needed. Ability to work in a fast-paced, guest-facing hotel environment while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail. Ability to communicate effectively in person, by telephone, and through electronic systems.
