Cardiac Ultrasound Technologist (U), Full-Time

Work Shift: 40 hrs. per week, M-F. Days, Nights, Weekends and on-calls may be required Work Location: University of Miami Hospital UTower - Cardiac Echo Lab UTower Core Job Functions Detects defects or irregularities using ultrasound equipment Positions patients and explains procedure Performs quality control functions Evaluates ultrasounds for diagnostic quality Prepares and sets up medical supplies using aseptic techniques Develops ultrasound film and matches it with the appropriate paperwork for interpretation Assists in maintenance and compilation of statistical data Provides orientation to new cardiac ultrasound technologists Provides education and training to cardiac ultrasound technology students Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets This list of duties and responsibilities is not intended to be all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties or responsibilities as necessary. Core Qualifications Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography and/or Vascular accredited program. Experience: Minimum 1 year of relevant experience required. Certification and Licensing: ARDMS credentialing body RDCS license or CCI credentialing body RCS license. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Learning Agility: Ability to learn new procedures, technologies, and protocols, and adapt to changing priorities and work demands. Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with others and contribute to a team environment. Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using office software, technology, and relevant computer applications. Communication: Strong and clear written and verbal communication skills for interacting with colleagues and stakeholders.
