Must-Have: Candidates must have telemetry experience. Candidates must possess skills for critical care environments.

Description: The ICU unit has 20 beds. The unit operates with variable patient ratios based on acuity levels. More intensive cases, such as ECMO and post-open heart surgery, have 1:1 ratios. Typical ICU assignments have a ratio of 1:2. Stepdown assignments may have a ratio of 1:3 to 1:4. Nights typically include one charge nurse and 8-10 registered nurses, along with 1-3 nursing assistants and a sitter on a PRN basis. Equipment used in this unit includes IV pumps, telemetry monitors, and ventilators. Procedures performed include pericardiocentesis with drains, thoracentesis, central line and arterial line insertion, chest tube insertion, intubation, and transvenous pacing wire insertion. Candidates should be organized yet adaptable to changing situations. Experience with critical drips and ventilators is preferred.
