Job Description:

\n

We are seeking a Benefits Data Remediation Analyst to support employee benefits data integrity initiatives, including pension data validation, reconciliation, cleanup, and correction across multiple systems. The consultant will collaborate with Benefits, Payroll, HR, Legal, and external vendors to resolve discrepancies and support pension administration, compliance, and missing participant research.

Key Responsibilities:

\n

\n
• Review, validate, and correct employee, retiree, and pension participant records.
\n
• Reconcile data across HRIS, payroll, benefits, and pension administration systems.
\n
• Analyze large datasets and prepare reports using Microsoft Excel.
\n
• Research data discrepancies, identify root causes, and document corrections for audit purposes.
\n
• Coordinate with vendors to locate missing participants, former employees, retirees, and beneficiaries.
\n
• Support pension certification, pension termination, and benefits data remediation projects.
\n
• Track remediation activities, project deliverables, and outstanding data issues.
\n
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with data privacy and record-retention requirements.
\n

Required Skills:

\n

\n
• 3+ years of experience in employee benefits administration, retirement plans, payroll, HR operations, data management, or a related field.
\n
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, sorting, filtering, data validation, and reconciliation.
\n
• Experience working with large and complex employee or participant datasets.
\n
• Strong data cleanup, data validation, discrepancy resolution, and research skills.
\n
• Excellent organizational, documentation, and communication skills.
\n
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally.
\n

Preferred Qualifications:

\n

\n
• Experience with defined benefit pension plans and pension administration.
\n
• Knowledge of pension plan termination, pension risk transfer, and benefits data remediation.
\n
• Understanding of ERISA and participant data requirements.
\n
• Experience with lost participant search firms or death audit vendors.
\n
• Familiarity with HRIS, payroll, and benefits administration systems.
\n
• Experience supporting retiree medical, life insurance, and other legacy benefit programs.
