The Opportunity

In this role, you won't just crunch numbers — you'll be a trusted voice at the table. You'll analyze complex loan requests across a diverse customer base, dig into financial statements and cash flows, and deliver the kind of clear, well-reasoned recommendations that Lending Officers and credit committees rely on to make sound decisions. This is a role for someone who wants ownership over their work and a seat close to the action.

What You'll Do

• Analyze complex commercial loan applications and prepare in-depth written credit memoranda
• Spread and interpret financial statements to assess borrower risk and creditworthiness
• Evaluate cash flow — including global cash flow — to confirm adequate debt coverage and liquidity
• Advise Lending Officers and credit committees on new, renewal, and extension loan decisions
• Contribute to the structuring of loan agreements
• Build strong working relationships with Lending Officers, and interact directly with customers as needed
• Mentor and help train junior Credit Analysts
• Stay current on regulatory requirements and complete ongoing professional training
• Get involved in community initiatives that reflect the bank's hometown values

What You Bring

• Solid experience in commercial credit analysis, financial statement spreading, and cash flow analysis
• Strong analytical and written communication skills — you can translate complex financials into a clear recommendation
• Comfort working directly with Lending Officers, credit committees, and customers
• A collaborative mindset and the ability to mentor less experienced analysts
• A commitment to compliance, accuracy, and sound risk judgment
