Job Description Sheet Metal Estimator – Commercial Mechanical Projects Location: Fort Worth, TX We’re looking for a driven Sheet Metal Estimator to support large-scale commercial mechanical projects from concept through award. This role is critical to building accurate, competitive bids and partnering with operations to win and deliver high-value work. What You’ll Do Prepare detailed takeoffs and cost estimates for sheet metal systems (ductwork, HVAC, specialty systems) on complex commercial projects Analyze drawings, specs, and addenda to identify scope, risks, and value engineering opportunities Solicit and level subcontractor/vendor quotes; build strong supplier relationships Develop pricing strategies aligned with project goals and market conditions Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and preconstruction teams to ensure scope clarity and smooth handoffs Maintain estimate documentation, assumptions, and historical cost data What You Bring 3+ years of estimating experience in commercial mechanical/sheet metal projects Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, duct fabrication/installation, and industry standards Proficiency with estimating software and takeoff tools (e.g., Bluebeam, OST, Trimble, etc.) Ability to read and interpret construction documents with precision Sharp analytical skills and attention to detail—no gaps, no surprises Clear communication and a team-first mindset Why This Role High-visibility projects with meaningful budgets and impact Collaborative preconstruction environment with real decision-making influence Competitive compensation, strong pipeline, and long-term growth #J-18808-Ljbffr KODIAK Construction Recruiting & Staffing
