Warehouse Shift Supervisor

The Warehouse Shift Supervisor plays a key role in providing exceptional service to our customers. The successful candidate for this position should be a leader who motivates their shift to be a winning team. The successful candidate needs to take pride in their team, set goals, and inspire their team to reach these goals. The shift supervisor leads warehouse team members in safely and efficiently fulfilling orders for customers, ensuring that the order is shipped accurately and on time. The supervisor will oversee a team of approximately 35 people with the assistance of two additional team leads.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Working within our WMS to complete customer orders in the proper time frame
• Communicating regularly with customer service regarding updates to orders
• Being responsible for warehouse team member performance
• Assisting with process improvements
• Owning safety on your shift
• Performing team member evaluations at various times during the year
• Managing the labor cost for your operation
• Being happy to work 2nd shift (2:00 PM – 10:00 PM). Supervisor day is normally an hour before the shift and 20 mins after the shift

The right candidate:

• Requires a high school diploma, a college degree is a plus
• Must be comfortable setting goals and discussing performance with associates
• Evidence of analytical reasoning and mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide
• Must be flexible to attend occasional meetings before the shift
• An ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of warehouse experience
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience
• Experience with a WMS system is helpful
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
• RF scanner experience (preferred)
