Installs, tests, maintains, and repairs mechanical machinery, equipment, and systems. Performs utility and structural repairs as needed, independently or in collaboration with internal/external trades. Inspects and tests equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety. Documents and maintains records of inspections and work performed pursuant to departmental policies and warranty/vendor requirements. Requisitions materials and supplies, maintaining inventory to ensure availability for maintenance tasks. Responds to emergency calls in a timely manner to address urgent maintenance issues. Coordinates with vendors and subcontractors to ensure effective collaboration and completion of tasks. Provides on-the-job skills training to enhance team capabilities and ensure proper procedures are followed. Troubleshoots and diagnoses mechanical issues, implementing effective solutions. Ensures compliance with safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Participates in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes and efficiency. Complies with healthcare, federal, state, and local rules and regulations. Other duties as assigned.
