We are seeking a Manufacturing Equipment Technician to support the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This individual will play a key role in keeping equipment operating efficiently, minimizing downtime, and supporting daily production goals.
The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities, enjoys working with machinery, and is comfortable performing both preventive and corrective maintenance on a variety of equipment.
Responsibilities
Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections on manufacturing equipment and production systems.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and vacuum-related equipment issues.
Respond to equipment breakdowns and assist in restoring production operations in a timely manner.
Diagnose root causes of machine failures and implement corrective actions.
Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and process improvement initiatives.
Maintain maintenance records, work orders, and equipment documentation.
Work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to support operational goals.
Follow safety procedures and ensure compliance with company policies and manufacturing standards.
Required Qualifications
Experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, production, or maintenance environment.
Hands-on experience maintaining and troubleshooting industrial equipment and machinery.
Strong mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of electrical systems and controls.
Ability to use hand tools, testing equipment, and diagnostic instruments.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a production environment.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting automated manufacturing equipment or production machinery.
Familiarity with PLC-controlled equipment, motors, sensors, pneumatics, or vacuum systems.
Experience in semiconductor, electronics, medical device, food production, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
Knowledge of continuous improvement, quality systems, or preventive maintenance programs.
Technical certificate, associate degree, military technical training, or equivalent hands-on experience preferred.
Work Environment
Full-time onsite position in the Tracy, CA area.
Monday-Friday schedule.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tracy, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $38.40/hr.
