Responsibilities:
• Administer medications to residents under the supervision of licensed nurses and physicians
• Conduct accurate medication counts and reconcile discrepancies
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of medication administration
• Collaborate with other care team members to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Monitor residents' responses to medication and report any adverse reactions to the healthcare team
• Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, facility policies, and professional standards
Requirements:
• Current certification as a Certified Medication Aide in the state of Texas
• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or specialized training in healthcare or a related field preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
• Possess a strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
