Litigation Assistant/Paralegal

LHH is partnering with a respected Seattle-area law firm to identify a Litigation Assistant/Paralegal for a growing litigation practice. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside a highly collaborative team of attorneys handling sophisticated construction, commercial, and municipal litigation matters.

Position Overview

As a key member of the litigation team, you will work closely with attorneys and fellow legal professionals to manage cases through every phase of the litigation process. The role offers significant exposure to trial work and provides the opportunity to contribute to high-profile matters in a supportive and team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive litigation support from case inception through trial and resolution
  • Assist with trial preparation, including exhibit management, witness materials, trial notebooks, and courtroom logistics
  • Coordinate and track court filings, deadlines, and litigation calendars
  • Organize, maintain, and manage case files and litigation databases
  • Support attorneys with discovery, document review, document production, and case management activities
  • Prepare and manage exhibits, hearing materials, and trial-related documents
  • Communicate with clients, experts, vendors, and court personnel as needed
  • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and legal support staff to ensure efficient case progression
  • Assist with deposition preparation, mediations, hearings, and trial proceedings

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of litigation assistant/paralegal experience
  • Demonstrated experience supporting matters through trial
  • Strong understanding of litigation procedures, court rules, and case management processes
  • Experience with construction litigation, construction defect matters, or related disputes is highly desirable
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Team-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving
