What Youll Do

As a member of our network you will be matched with opportunities to teach Acting to K-12 students at schools buildings and communities across Boston. These teaching opportunities will be for terms that could last anywhere from 6 weeks to 18 weeks.

As an after school instructor youll have the following responsibilities:

• Develop age-appropriate Acting curriculum for after-school students
• Lead weekly in-person classes with enthusiasm and expertise
• Establish a well-structured and lively classroom that keeps students engaged
• Foster a positive supportive and encouraging learning environment for students of varying skill levels
• Build connections with students in a warm and inclusive environment
• Track student growth and offer positive helpful feedback
• Arrive prepared on time and ready to teach
• Create a memorable experience for the children in your class

Who You Are

A fun enthusiastic adaptable instructor with experience teaching school age children and who:

• Has subject matter expertise in Acting
• Has a passion and skill for building hands-on projects with kids
• Has excitement joy and passion for both teaching kids and personal development/learning
• Knows how to create a fun structured and inclusive classroom environment
• Brings your own voice and creativity to each class you teach
• Is cooperative supportive flexible
• Is dependable proactive and thrives when given autonomy and also appreciates support and clear expectations

$90 - $120 an hour

Teachers in the Togetherhood network are paid per class either flat rate or per-student (determined by the partner school). This is contracted supplemental 1099 work. There is a separate materials budget for teachers to use for classes requiring one.

What to Expect

• If your resume is a fit well reach out to set up a screening call on Google Meet
• Candidates advancing from screenings will have a second video interview in which we will ask you to share a sample lesson plan
• The final step of the process is onboarding into our platform ready to accept classes!
