Account Executive, Excess Casualty Underwriter

Salary range $89,800 - $148,300. Target opening 1. What Will You Do? Manage profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of business. Underwrite and negotiate customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability. Develop and maintain relationships with internal partners and external agents/brokers to create sales plans, identify cross‑selling opportunities, and market Travelers products. Identify and capture new business opportunities using consultative marketing and sales skills. Develop and execute agency and regional sales plans. Perform other duties as assigned. Travel as required for meetings. What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have? Bachelor’s degree. 3–5 years of underwriting experience in commercial lines. Knowledge of commercial lines products, regulatory environment, and the local insurance market. Strong critical‑thinking skills to identify underwriting, marketing, or financial challenges. Excellent communication and negotiation skills with agents and brokers. CPCU designation. Must Have At least 2 years of underwriting, claims, operations, risk assessment, actuarial, sales, product, or finance experience.
