Join a dynamic healthcare team in the Pacific Northwest region as a PRN Respiratory Therapist working day shifts. This role involves delivering comprehensive respiratory care under physician orders, including oxygen and aerosol therapies, advanced airway management, arterial puncture and analysis, ECGs, and mechanical ventilation for adult and geriatric patients.

Job Summary: You will plan, implement, and evaluate respiratory therapy effectiveness, collaborating closely with providers and interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient-centered care. The position requires adaptability, strong communication, and a commitment to quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide compassionate, timely respiratory care and treatment to patients.
• Assess and interpret diagnostic tests to develop and administer respiratory therapy plans.
• Operate and maintain respiratory therapy equipment safely and efficiently.
• Monitor patient responses and adjust treatments accordingly.
• Participate in discharge planning and educate patients and caregivers on home respiratory care.
• Contribute to policy development, training programs, and workflow coordination within the respiratory therapy department.

Education and Experience:

• Associate degree from a CoARC-accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• Minimum of two years of acute care respiratory therapy experience.

Licenses and Certifications:

• Current unrestricted respiratory care practitioner license for the state.
• NBRC Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) upon hire; Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) within one year.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within six months of hire.

Skills and Abilities:

• Strong knowledge of respiratory care theories and clinical skills.
• Ability to assess patient needs and tailor treatments across all age groups.
• Proficiency with respiratory equipment and technology, including electronic medical records.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.

Physical Requirements:

Includes frequent lifting and carrying of equipment up to 35 lbs, standing, walking, bending, and occasional exposure to bloodborne pathogens. Vision, hearing, and speech within normal range with or without corrective devices.
