Job Opportunity Position: Radiation Therapist Location: Hilo, HI Shift: Varied This position may involve rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays. Candidates must be prepared for flexible scheduling. Job Description The Radiation Therapist will independently perform a variety of radiation therapy treatments, including simulations, treatment planning, and the fabrication of specialized treatment aids. Responsibilities include:
- Administering radiation therapy treatments in accordance with physician instructions.
- Using the Varian TrueBeam linear accelerator and ARIA EMR.
- Treating 25-30 patients per day with various treatment modalities, including 3D, IMRT, SBRT, and electron therapies.
- Setting up treatments across all sites within this comprehensive cancer center.
- Minimum of 2 years of progressively responsible experience as an imaging technologist or specialist with a thorough knowledge of imaging procedures and techniques.
- Current certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiation Therapy (T).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Current State of Hawaii Radiologic Technologist license as a Radiation Therapist.
