Location221 S Warren St. STE 500, Syracuse, NY, 13202, United States Base Pay$55,000.00 - $60,000.00 / Year Employee TypeFull-Time Non-Exempt Dannible & McKee, LLP, a premier certified public accounting and consulting firm in the Central New York region, is seeking a full-time staff accountant to join our Accounting and Advisory Services Department. The staff accountant will focus on developing and expanding their technical knowledge under the supervision of senior staff. This position will join a growing team that provides accounting and bookkeeping assistance to various clients and industries. Duties and Responsibilities Appropriately communicates and works with other accounting and advisory services team members to deliver high-quality audit services to clients. Performs daily, weekly, monthly and annual accounting functions as needed and as requested by clients. Conducts and supports month end activities, including general ledger maintenance and balance sheet reconciliations. Prepares monthly, quarterly and yearly financial statements, reports and summaries, and analysis of financial information. Prepares analysis and workpapers for use by client’s external audit firm in performance of their review or audit of the year-end financial statements. Offers general assistance with bank account and insurance matters. Analyzes, anticipates and resolves variances. May be assigned special projects. Supports the training of Interns. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements An associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or related field 0-3 years of full-time private or public accounting experience or equivalent industry specialization Must have knowledge of basic accounting and bookkeeping concepts and financial systems Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Must be organized, detail oriented and have ability to work in a fast-paced environment Experience with QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online or other accounting software preferred.
