Vehicle Systems Integration Engineer

Apex Systems is looking to hire an ONSITE Vehicle Systems Integration Engineer fo r our client based out of Greenbsoro, NC.

This assignment is anticipated to be a 6 month contract with strong potential for extension; however, Apex Systems cannot guarantee the length of this assignment.

This will also have a first shift Monday-Friday schedule.


Responsibilities:

• Support development of electrical and electronic systems by assisting with the build and validation of test vehicles or equipment.
• Perform software and hardware updates for test platforms and prototypes.
• Conduct rootcause analysis for electrical and functional issues using structured diagnostic approaches.
• Perform measurements across electrical systems and collect data required for troubleshooting and validation.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues.
• Provide recommendations and feedback to improve system design, reliability, and performance.
• Document defects and create reports for issues identified during testing and validation activities.
• Support test activities required for validation, compliance, or operational approvals.
• Assist with implementation of design changes, including supporting training and knowledgesharing activities.
• Maintain and update diagnostic databases and troubleshooting documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve testing processes, build procedures, and rootcause analysis workflows.

Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in electrical/electronic systems testing, validation, or design within vehicle, equipment, or embedded systems environments.
• Strong knowledge of system diagnostics, including troubleshooting electrical and electronic components.
• Experience with communication protocols (e.g., CAN or similar) and related diagnostic/analysis tools.
• Familiarity with embedded system software tools and diagnostic environments.
• Handson experience working with sensors, wiring systems, and electrical hardware.
• Strong ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a technical environment.
• Proven problemsolving skills with the ability to resolve moderately complex system issues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience supporting system verification, validation, or integration activities.
• Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline (preferred but not required).
• Willingness to travel as needed to support testing or field activities.
• Experience working with modern sensor technologies and diagnostic tooling.
