Cath Lab Registered Nurse | Grand Junction, Colorado

This position involves providing expert technical support in the cardiac catheterization laboratory during invasive cardiovascular procedures, assisting physicians with radiological imaging, and delivering patient care under RN supervision. The role requires close collaboration with the healthcare team to ensure sterile conditions, efficient operation of imaging equipment, and thorough documentation of procedures.


Key Responsibilities:

• Assist physicians during cardiac and vascular procedures, maintaining sterile field and acting as a scrub assistant.
• Operate and monitor imaging equipment in the control room, documenting procedure images and events accurately.
• Provide patient education on procedure expectations and pre- and post-procedure care.
• Support unit cleanliness and maintain appropriate stock levels for diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Complete all documentation including daily progress and discharge notes according to departmental standards.
• Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives; identify areas for workflow enhancements and potential safety hazards.
• Share on-call responsibilities for nights, weekends, and holidays with a 30-minute response time.
• Uphold organizational mission, vision, values, and service behavior standards.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid RN license (Single State or Compact RN License).
• Minimum of 1 year experience in cardiac cath lab or related area.
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS.
• Ability to work 4-10 hour shifts including weekends and share on-call duties.
