Role snapshot

• Status: Full-time, hourly
• Reports to: Production Supervisor

What youll handle

• Start up and shut down injection presses safely and correctly.
• Keep machines producing to the plan and respond immediately to alarms.
• Run quality checks at defined intervals (bingo trays, visual inspections, perform checks) and record all findings.
• Complete production paperwork and document any process adjustments you make.
• Package and tag finished parts accurately.
• Troubleshoot molding processes and accessory equipment.
• Execute prescribed mold preventative maintenance.
• Sanitize machines and molds on daily and weekly cycles.
• Perform product changeovers and color changes using Plastracm Movacolor and Wittman.
• Issue work orders for machine, mold, or safety issues and log machine issues in the OPS tracker.
• Confirm line setups using Docushare and keep master cleaning schedules current.
• Document cleaning and housekeeping activities in SPC.
• Collect scrap during and at the end of the shift, weigh it, and enter data into the system.

Standards you live by

• Work safely at all times to prevent injury.
• Follow GMPs (no jewelry, cell phones, nicotine in any form, etc.).
• Immediately report any food safety concern to your manager or supervisor.
• Maintain housekeeping throughout the shift.
• Lift 35 lbs unassisted and remain standing/walking for the full shift.
• Dispose of scrap in designated containers.
• Initiate corrective action for any non-conformance.
• Submit improvement ideas through the See It, Sort It, Report It system.
• Wear required PPE and flex to new tasks or areas as customer needs change.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor.

Skills & background

• Basic math skills and computer literacy
• Mechanical aptitude with equipment troubleshooting ability
• Clear written and verbal communication
• Minimum 1 year manufacturing experience in injection molding (required)
• High school diploma (preferred)
