NERA Consultant - Antitrust/Labor Economist (Job Market/New PhD)

Candidates must have excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to think creatively to solve complex problems. Responsibilities Apply the technical skills and knowledge gained during graduate studies Conduct high-powered economic research across a variety of industries Develop economic models to answer critical business and legal questions Perform cutting-edge economic analysis on complex real-life issues Write research reports and client presentations for senior staff and clients to help them make informed economic decisions Influence/direct project strategy, including preparation and presentation of oral and written testimony Collaborate with in-house experts and outside academics Manage client relationships Develop and strengthen both project and people management skills Program Highlights Comprehensive orientation program Skill enhancement training sessions including Project Management, Business Development, and Deposition training Support of Business Development and Marketing Managers to assist consultants in becoming testifying experts Formal performance evaluations Application Requirements New PhDs (2025 or 2026 grads) Cover Letter including geographic preferences CV Job Market Paper Three Letters of Recommendation (sent to View email address on click.appcast.io) Salary and Benefits The applicable base salary for this role is $225,000 – $235,000 per year. Base pay will be determined based on experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education. The position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
