Assistant Store Manager

Compensation Pay Range: $17.81–$24.40 per hour. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual/quarterly performance or premiums that may be paid in amounts ranging per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met. Job Summary The Assistant Store Manager will support the Store Manager in sales, customer service, store appearance, and store operations. The position will manage the store during the Store Manager’s absence and/or when working opposing shifts. The Assistant Manager will lead the store team members in servicing customers. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities Lead the store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers. Supervise customer service levels on the retail showroom, including team member execution on programs such as Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc. Work with the store manager to ensure the retail sales counter is adequately staffed, especially during peak business hours (lunch, late‑afternoons, evenings, weekends, etc.). Assist the store manager in setting team member goals, providing feedback on goal achievement, coaching and mentoring team members, and ensuring team members stay current on their training. Assist in the hiring process by completing recruiting tasks, scheduling and participating in interviews, evaluating candidates, and collaborating with management to select qualified team members. Ensure the telephone is answered according to company policy. Process buy online/ship to store, hub and store to store transfers, and DC add orders in a timely manner, contacting customers upon shipment arrivals as needed. Utilize the electronic outside purchase order ledger to handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently and according to procedure. Process retail customer returns and exchanges efficiently and friendlily, issue refunds accurately using correct payment methods, and stage returned merchandise correctly in the returns area. Ensure all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, is invoiced before product leaves the store. Communicate Zipline messages and delegate Image Maker and merchandising tasks as assigned. Ensure team members comply with company policies, including adhering to posted work schedules, obtaining approval for changes/deviations, and clocking in/out correctly. Perform all store opening/closing duties: day‑end procedures, verifying/depositing money, preparing bank deposits, ensuring night security lights are on, locking doors, arming/disarming security alarms, and securing delivery vehicles. Assist the store manager in maintaining the store building, parking lot, exterior signage/lighting, computer hardware, in‑store service/test equipment, and delivery vehicles. Perform all other duties as assigned. Skills, Education, Knowledge, Experience, and Abilities Required: Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification, RSS Certification. Desired: Certified Parts Professional Certification, ASE Certification, Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired). Benefits Competitive wages and paid time off.
