Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00) with some weekend shifts required.

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team. The RN will be responsible for providing exceptional care to laboring patients, managing high-risk antepartum situations, and assisting with a variety of maternal emergencies. This position will float between units as needed and will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for mothers and infants.

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to laboring patients, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Manage acute care for high-risk labor and delivery patients, including those with pre-eclampsia, diabetes, multiples, VBAC/TOLAC, and other complications.
• Participate in active management of laboring patients including induction/augmentation and responding to maternal emergencies.
• Perform triage of obstetrical patients and provide education and support to families.
• Document patient care and assessments accurately in the electronic health record.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary support teams, including IV teams and pharmacy, to coordinate care effectively.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Valid WA or Compact RN license.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery with previous charge experience preferred.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate.
• Experience with charting systems such as Epic preferred.
