Contract | Days | 4x10-Hour Shifts (6:45 AM – 5:15 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scrub and circulator roles in the Operating Room, with a strong focus on Orthopedic and Joint procedures
• Provide surgical support across specialties including ENT, Ophthalmology, General, Endoscopic/Laparoscopic, Gynecology, Plastics, and Podiatry
• Apply aseptic technique and airway management principles throughout all surgical cases
• Float to other affiliated facilities within the health system as needed, provided requisite job specifications are met
• Complete non-billable orientation modules prior to start and annually as required by the unit or specialty

Required Qualifications

• Current California RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Minimum of 3 years of Operating Room experience
• Ability to both scrub and circulate, particularly in Ortho-Joints, Ortho, ENT, and Ophthalmology
• Teaching hospital experience required
• Two professional references from most recent employer must be submitted at time of candidacy
• Any prior employment with a University of California medical facility or affiliated facility must be disclosed with dates, units, and manager names for rehire eligibility review
• All requested time off must be disclosed at time of submission; no additional requests will be accepted mid-contract, and time off may not be requested within the first two weeks of the assignment start
• Local candidates are welcome and are considered on the same basis as traveling candidates

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Strong orthopedic scrubbing background, particularly in joint replacement procedures
• Experience across a broad range of surgical specialties including General, Endoscopic/Laparoscopic, Gynecology, Plastics, and Podiatry
• Familiarity with Epic electronic health records
• Prior experience in a large academic or teaching hospital environment
