Location: San Diego, CA
Duration: 3+ months contract
Pay Rate: $22.00/hr on W2 Education
• High School Diploma or equivalent. Required Experience
• 1+ year of electronic assembly and inspection experience in a manufacturing or production environment using hand soldering equipment and basic hand tools or relevant training. Job Description:
Performs a wide variety of electrical and mechanical assembly operations in an engineering or prototyping environment, including wiring, component installation, hand soldering, and cable harnessing on assembly units. Responsible for performing mechanical assembly including installation of press fit components, rivets, screws and other hardware. Prepares, loads and solders printed circuit cards per IPC standards. Performs routine go/no go test of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies. Preferred Qualifications
• IPC Certification.
• 1+ year of experience with IPC Standards.
• 4+ years of electronic assembly experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• 4+ years of experience using hand soldering equipment and basic hand tools.
• Available to work overtime as needed. Principal Duties and Responsibilities
• Follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering and cable harnessing on assembly units.
• Utilizes appropriate tools and equipment to perform mechanical assembly including installation of press fit components, rivets, screws and other hardware.
• Prepares, loads, and solders printed circuit cards with minimal supervision.
• Reads and interprets mechanical drawings to perform a variety of electronic and electro-mechanical assembly operations.
• Performs basic repair work, rework, and modifications to assemblies or sub-assemblies as necessary. Level of Responsibility
• Works under supervision.
• Decision-making is limited to direct area work and/or work group.
• Requires verbal and written communication skills to convey basic, routine factual information.
• Tasks require multiple steps which can be performed in various orders; some planning, problem-solving, and prioritization must occur to complete the tasks effectively.
The responsibilities of this role do not include:
• Does not provide supervision to others.
• Does not have financial accountability.
• Has no influence over key organizational decisions.
