Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an ICU position requiring a MA RN license, ventilator/trach experience, and CCU or direct vent experience.

Details

• ICU setting within a hospital environment
• Patient population includes critically ill patients requiring ventilator management, trach care, central line management, and telemetry monitoring
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:30)
• Every other weekend (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH) required
• 36 hours per week
• Floating to inpatient units (MSU) may be required

Requirements

• Active MA RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• Ventilator and trach experience required, including central line management and telemetry capability
• CCU experience or direct ventilator experience in a rehab hospital required
• Two professional references required, with at least one from a Nurse Manager or higher
• Candidates must reside more than 200 miles from the facility to qualify for this position

Additional Information

• Orientation includes two pass/fail exams: a medication exam and a telemetry exam — each allows only one attempt; failure results in immediate contract cancellation
• Study materials will be provided prior to and during orientation to help prepare for exams
• A pass/fail EKG test is also required
• Candidates with prior disciplinary actions on their nursing license will not be considered
• First-time travelers should be aware of the strict pass/fail testing requirements at orientation
