RN - MedSurg

Registered Nurse - Acute Care - Kearney, NE

This is a 13-week contract position.

12-hour shifts, Days, Every other weekend (EOW), with floating requirements to the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) for Medical-Surgical Unit (MSU) assignments. Up to 2 extra mandatory shifts may be assigned per 6 weeks.

The Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive care in an acute care setting, managing a maximum patient ratio of 1:6, with dayshift ratios of 1:5 from Monday to Friday. The candidate should be flexible and willing to float as needed. The role requires strong assessment skills and the ability to provide high-quality nursing care to diverse patient populations.

• Deliver nursing care according to established protocols and patient needs.
• Conduct patient assessments and monitor vital signs.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team members.
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record (EPIC).

• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC).
• NIHSS certification required.
• Active RN license for the state of Nebraska.
