2026-2027 School Year Elementary | On-site | Competitive Pay Brighton, Colorado Full-Time 2026-2027 School Year Elementary | On-site | Competitive Pay TheraPeds Partners is hiring a school-based Special Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year in Brighton, Colorado. This is a full-time opportunity with guaranteed hours, designated planning and documentation time, a manageable caseload, and support from both TheraPeds and the school district. The Role Provide individualized and small-group special education instruction Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals and services Adapt curriculum and instruction to meet individual student needs Collect data and monitor academic, behavioral, and functional progress Complete progress reports, IEP documentation, and required records Conduct or participate in educational assessments and eligibility processes Serve as a case manager for assigned students Participate in IEP, eligibility, and multidisciplinary team meetings Collaborate with general education teachers, related-service providers, paraprofessionals, families, and administrators Support positive behavior, inclusion, independence, and student participation across school environments What We Offer Competitive hourly compensation $50-60 an hour Guaranteed hours 36-40 hours/week Full-time following the teacher/school calendar Designated planning, documentation, and administrative time Manageable caseload Clinical, educational, and administrative support Professional development opportunities TheraPeds professional community W-2 benefits for eligible employees, including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) 1099 independent contractor opportunities may be available Requirements Qualifications Bachelor's or master's degree in Special Education, Education, or a related field Active or eligible New Hampshire educator certification with the appropriate Special Education endorsement Knowledge of IDEA, IEP development, eligibility, progress monitoring, and special education procedures School-based special education experience preferred Strong classroom management and instructional skills Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learning needs Strong communication and collaboration skills Good organization and time-management skills Comfort with educational technology, data collection, and documentation Ability to complete required background clearances Physical Requirements School-based special education is active and may require participation with students in a variety of educational environments and activities. The Special Education Teacher must be able to perform the physical functions necessary to fulfill assigned responsibilities, which may include sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, transitioning to and from the floor, and engaging with students throughout school environments All responsibilities will be performed in accordance with assigned duties, district safety requirements, and applicable accommodations Benefits Compensation & Benefits Benefits and compensation are based on employment classification and eligibility.
