Mechanical & Structural Engineering Manager (K Level) Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Mobility, Surveillance & Bombers Structures Capability is seeking a Mechanical & Structural Engineering Manager (K Level) to lead a high-performing Structures Design team on the P-8 program in Tukwila, WA. The successful candidate will have strong engineering expertise, ability to lead projects to completion, possess outstanding communication skills, an interest in growing and developing their team, and a demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships. Position Responsibilities Keep safety and quality at the forefront of all activities. Manage employees performing engineering and technical activities in the area of Mechanical & Structural Engineering. Lead development of engineering solutions in support of current and future projects. Develop and execute project and process plans, implement policies and procedures and set operational goals. Acquire resources for projects and processes, provide technical management, and lead process improvements. Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports. Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Manage, develop and motivate employees. Location and Work Requirements This position is expected to be 100% onsite in Tukwila, WA. Requires ability to obtain US Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required) and interim or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start. Drug-Free Workplace: testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol as outlined in policies. Basic Qualifications (Required) At least one year of experience in a leadership role or completed Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership”. Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, or Civil). 5+ years of experience in Aerospace Industry working in Structural Design or Analysis. Preferred Qualifications 3+ years of experience leading teams responsible for aerospace structural design and/or structural analysis tasks. Knowledge of Boeing products and processes. Demonstrated ability in team building, coaching, and employee development to enhance team performance and engagement. Technical background with the ability to guide and mentor the team.
