Job Summary

• Perform Ultrasound procedures to obtain imaging results as per physician specifications.
• Transfer patients for examinations and assist with the Ultrasound process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate Ultrasound imaging and related equipment appropriately.
• Educate, position, and immobilize patients for procedures.
• Coordinate examinations to ensure timeliness, quality, and continuity of care.
• Follow provider imaging orders accurately.
• Submit required images and clinical information to Radiologists for interpretation.
• Evaluate image quality effectively.
• Communicate openly and professionally with patients, coworkers, Radiologists, and leadership.
• Utilize, charge, and maintain department supplies appropriately.
• Practice sterile techniques and adhere to infection prevention policies.
• Handle multiple tasks/projects and meet deadlines.
• Safely perform Ultrasound procedures, including patient transfers.

Required Qualifications

• Two (2) years of experience in general and vascular Ultrasound (excluding ABIs, segmental pressure, echo, and breast).
• Associate’s degree.
• ARDMS registry certification.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in computer usage, including Microsoft Office Suite, and ability to learn relevant applications.
