This position requires you to maintain internet service and a mobile phone with voice and data plans to be used when required for work.PurposeThe Information Technology Coordinator leads and coordinates new physical security projects and initiatives on the university's main campus, delivering innovative solutions that support campus safety.ResponsibilitiesCoordinate physical security installation project requirements in support of both new physical security construction and remodel initiatives across UT Austin owned and operated spaces. Communicate project needs and requirements to support entities on campus to ensure that campus customers receive the highest quality solutions. Support on-going hardware lifecycle projects and preventative maintenance programs.Provide consulting support and technical design review for new physical security projects on campus and serve as the primary point of contact for coordinating physical security improvements across the UT Austin campus.Maintain documentation for access control, intrusion and video projects.Collaborate with campus building managers, facility designers and lab managers on security design and project estimation.Participate in the On-Call rotation. Driving university owned vehicles to job sites will be required for this position. Maintain acceptable driver rating as established in Policy UTS157.Perform other related functions as assigned.Required QualificationsPrior experience with physical security installation project coordination.Strong organizational and communication skills.Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.Knowledge of safety and regulatory standards related to installation and construction.Proficiency with Access Control, Intrusion and VMS software solutions.Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.Preferred QualificationsVMS and ACS certifications such as Milestone, Lenel or GenetecASIS or PMP certificationsDriving RequiredThis job requires a class "C" operator's driver's license. The applicant selected must provide a current three-year driving record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, a Texas driver's license must be obtained within 30 days of becoming a Texas resident.
