At the core of this role, is the ability to gather requirements from multiple stakeholder groups, and look for opportunities to drive efficiency and value. Creating and maintaining meticulous documentation, our BA resources are flexible, knowledgeable communicators, influencers and facilitators; evidence-led to develop best of breed solutions and services our customers are delighted to use. As Manager, Business Analyst, you will work with other levels of the BA team, taking ownership of substantial initiatives, but also managing a team of BA’s to develop the skills and competencies of the team.**Key Accountabilities:****Requirements definition & management*** Plans and drives scoping, requirements definition and prioritization activities for large, complex initiatives.* Adopts appropriate requirements definition and management methods, tools and techniques selecting appropriately from predictive (plan-driven) approaches or adaptive (iterative/agile) approaches.* Obtains input from, and formal agreement to, requirements from a diverse range of stakeholders.* Negotiates with stakeholders to manage competing priorities and conflicts.* Establishes requirements baselines.* Ensures changes to requirements are investigated and managed.* Contributes to the development of organizational methods and standards.**Business analysis*** Investigates operational requirements, problems, and opportunities, seeking effective business solutions through improvements in automated and non-automated components of new or changed processes.* Assists in the analysis of stakeholder objectives, and the underlying issues arising from investigations into business requirements and problems and identifies options for consideration.* Works iteratively with stakeholders, to identify potential benefits and available options for consideration, and in defining acceptance tests.**User centricity analysis*** Describes users’ goals and tasks and the environment within which the system, product or service will be used.* Facilitates both moderated and unmoderated user centricity assessments.* Evaluates prototypes or designs of systems, products or services against the agreed usability and accessibility expectations. Interprets and presents results of evaluations and prioritizes issues.* Assists in assessing the stability of requirements against changes in use.**Relationship Management*** Implements stakeholder engagement / communications plan.* Deals with problems and issues, managing resolutions, corrective actions, lessons learned and the collection and dissemination of relevant information.* Collects and uses feedback from customers and stakeholders to help measure effectiveness of stakeholder management.* Helps develop and enhance customer and stakeholder relationships.* Understands and collaborates on the analysis of user/customer needs and represents this in their work.* Influences customers, suppliers and partners* Engages across all stakeholders to ensure that user needs are being met throughout* Provides informed feedback to assess and promote understanding.**Business process improvement*** Analyses and designs business processes; identifies alternative solutions to exploit new technologies and automation.* Develops graphical representations of business processes to facilitate understanding and decision making.* Assesses the feasibility of business process changes and recommends new approaches.* Implements business process improvement methods and tools at program, project and team level in line with agreed standards.* Contributes to the definition of organizational policies, standards, and guidelines for business process improvement**Performance management*** Manages individuals and groups.* Allocates responsibilities and/or packages of work.* Provides support and guidance as required, in line with individual's abilities.* Delegates responsibilities as appropriate.* Advises individuals on career paths and encourages pro-active development of skills and capabilities.* Sets performance targets, and monitors progress against agreed quality and performance criteria.* Provides effective feedback, throughout the performance management cycle, to ensure optimum performance.* Mentors individuals, possibly within other parts of the organization.* Participates, as appropriate, in formal processes such as compensation negotiations and disciplinary procedures.* Ensures all people-related KPI’s and activities are consistently and fully achieved.**Other*** Carries out any other reasonable duties as requested.**Skills:*** Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills* A flexible attitude with respect to work assignments and new learning* Ability to manage multiple and varied tasks with enthusiasm and prioritize workload with attention to detail* Must have the ability to work methodically in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment* Ability to effectively delegate work to team members* Demonstratable ability to apply critical thinking to problems and tasks* Shows initiative and self-confidence, is adaptable and is able to cope with changing and evolving priorities* Ability to identify and implement process improvements* Proactively participates in skills improvement training and encourages their teams to participate* A self-starter and able to work under own initiative* Maintains an up-to-date awareness of trends, tools, technology, techniques and processes that affect technology within the Life sciences domain* Ability to operate collaboratively within a global team environment* Takes ownership and responsibility* Natural coach/mentor who leads by example with an approachable demeanor and visible leader skills* Ability to inspire staff to develop to the best of their competencies* Ability to demonstrate leadership competencies, like global execution, personal ownership, change leadership, strategic thinking, building partnerships, Customer Focused Leadership, talent development, influencing and leading teams, interpersonal awareness**Knowledge and Experience:*** Experience of working in and knowledge of the life sciences sector* Experience in clinical data management or programming, specifically in designing eCRFs, edit checks, and leading a study end-to-end.* Solid professional experience in the same or very similar role* Understanding and experience of Agile methodologies (preferably Scrum), UML, Object Orientated, Data Modelling using appropriate industry standards and/or other BA methodologies* Process Modelling using standards such as BPMN* Knowledge of and experience Lean Six Sigma* Knowledge of and experience Root Cause Analysis* Knowledge of and experience in Scope Management* Line management and leadership management* Awareness of best practice within business analysis domain, BA Professional qualifications**Education:*** Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline (Math, Science, Engineering, Computing, etc.) or a related study, or equivalent project-related experience* English: FluentThis role is remote US. Candidates located in the following states: AZ, CT, DE, FL, GA, IL, MA, MO, NH, NJ, NC, PA, UT, VA are preferred. The annual base salary range for this role is $87,585- $125,120. This range represents the anticipated initial annual salary and will vary depending on several factors including the candidate’s experience and skills as well as market rate adjustment.
