Transplant Nephrology fellowship opportunity available at Northwell Health

Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell's in Long Island, NY is now interviewing for a 2026 position in our AST-certified transplant nephrology fellowship. This seeks to develop the next generation of transplant nephrologists. Training in transplant nephrology is provided primarily at the Northwell Health Transplant Institute. The fellow will develop expertise in managing kidney transplant patients in North Shore University Hospital located in Manhasset, NY, as well as in the outpatient setting, including a rotation at an affiliated lab for intensive training in immunogenetics. The fellow will be involved in transplant candidate selection, donor candidate selection, and perioperative and longitudinal post-transplant management. In addition, the Northwell Health Transplant Institute has robust heart, lung, and liver transplant programs. Fellows will be involved in selecting candidates for multiorgan transplantation and management of these complex recipients. Training also involves transplant nephropathology and research opportunities.
