The Senior Content Producer within the Creative Services Team is responsible for leading the end-to-end production of photo and video content that supports brand marketing. This role oversees all aspects of content production, from pre-production planning and budgeting through on-location execution and post-production delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, on budget, and at the highest creative standards.

The ideal candidate is an experienced production leader that excels at bringing to life the creative brand vision while helping to manage stakeholders and external partners and has a deep understanding of complex production logistics. This role reports to the Creative Director of Creative Services.

Job Specifications: 

• Starting Wage: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 + Annual Bonus 

• Employment Type: Year Round

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning and execution of photo, video, and content productions from concept through final delivery.
• Develop production plans, schedules, budgets, crew assignments, and resource allocations to support marketing and business initiatives.
• Oversee all phases of production including pre-production, production, and post-production workflows.
• Ensure creative deliverables meet brand standards, business objectives, and project timelines.
• Anticipate production challenges and proactively develop solutions to minimize risk and disruption.
• Partner with creative, marketing, social, and cross-functional teams to align production needs with campaign objectives.
• Coordinate internal and external stakeholders to secure approvals and maintain project momentum.
• Identify and recommend production partners, photographers, videographers, editors, talent, and specialized vendors.
• Serve as the enterprise producer on shoots, ensuring vendors and crews are following company policy.
• Maintain production quality, safety, and operational excellence throughout all content captures.
• Manage real-time problem solving related to weather, locations, scheduling, talent availability, and operational changes.
• Ensure all productions adhere to project budgets, timelines, and legal requirements.
• Manage post-production workflows including editing, motion design, color grading, sound design, retouching, and final asset delivery.
• Facilitate stakeholder reviews and approval processes, consolidating feedback, and ensuring efficient revision cycles.
• Review and approve final deliverables for quality, consistency, technical specifications, and channel requirements.
• Work with the Asset Management Team to ensure assets are properly archived, documented, and stored in digital asset management systems.
• Build and maintain a network of production partners, freelancers, agencies, and content creators.
• Negotiate production estimates, contracts, scopes of work, licensing agreements, and usage rights.
• Manage production budgets and track spending throughout project lifecycles.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, maximize production value, and optimize resource allocation.
• Serve as the primary production lead for internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Communicate project status, risks, timelines, and budget considerations effectively across teams.
• Build strong, collaborative relationships while managing competing priorities and expectations.
• Establish clear production processes that drive efficiency, accountability, and high-quality outcomes.

Job Requirements: 

• 7+ years of experience in content production, creative production, integrated production, or related fields.
• Proven experience leading photo and video productions from concept through final delivery.
• Strong knowledge of production planning, budgeting, scheduling, contracting and licensing, licensing renewals, permitting, travel coordination, and crew management.
• Experience managing stakeholders, creative teams, agencies, talent, and external vendors.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multiple complex projects simultaneously in fast-paced environments.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Experience managing production budgets and vendor relationships.
• Knowledge of creative production workflows, asset management, and content delivery requirements across digital and social channels.
• Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience producing outdoor, lifestyle, action sports, travel, tourism, or adventure-focused content.
• Experience working in mountain environments and winter conditions.
• Understanding of photography, cinematography, post-production, and content creation best practices.
• Familiarity with Digital Asset Management (DAM/MAM) systems, RAW footage specifications, and ingestion timelines
• Background supporting large-scale brand campaigns and integrated marketing initiatives.
• Experience leveraging AI-enabled creative and production tools to improve efficiency and workflows.

Additional Job Expectations

• Travel to production locations as required.
• Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather and mountain conditions, including winter environments.
• Ability to lift and transport production equipment and work in physically demanding environments when necessary.
• Flexibility to support early mornings, evenings, weekends, and multi-day productions as needed

The expected Total Compensation for this role is $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 + Annual Bonus. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.

Vail Resorts offers a ‘Hybrid’ work environment where employees living within 50 miles of the Broomfield office work on-site Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and have flexibility to work off-site on Mondays and Fridays.  Employees living outside of a commutable distance can work remotely from British Columbia, Washington D.C., and the 16 U.S. states* in which we currently operate.
