You implement occupational therapy programs and activities, follow developed recovery plans, and deliver therapy treatments. You are a healer and a helper, addressing the whole patient and treating each individual. Your goal is to execute a program that restores, reinforces, and enhances physical abilities and independence. You adapt to patients’ needs, bring joy to varied settings, collaborate with peers, and refer patients for additional care when needed. You put patients first and ensure families receive the highest quality service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program according to AOTA & ACOTE standards. Initial certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy. Licensed and/or eligible for licensure in the state of practice.
