Prep Cook – Piatti Mill Valley Make pasta, pizza dough, and bread from scratch. We'll teach you how. Pay: $19–$20 per hour Schedule: Full-time and part-time positions available, this is primarily an AM shift position At Piatti Mill Valley, the soul of our kitchen is what we make by hand every day: pasta rolled and cut fresh each morning, pizza dough given time to develop, and bread baked in-house. We're looking for a Prep Cook who wants to be part of that craft. Never made pasta dough from scratch? That's okay. Our chefs will train you on our pasta, pizza dough, and bread recipes step by step. If you bring curiosity, care, and a strong work ethic, we'll give you the skills. Many great cooks learned this craft on the job, and yours could start here. What you should have is solid knife skills, including safe, efficient, and consistent cuts (dice, julienne, chiffonade, mince) for vegetables, herbs, and proteins. WHAT YOU'LL DO Prepare fresh pasta dough, pizza dough, and bread to our recipes and standards (with full training provided) Prep, set up, and portion high-quality ingredients for your station and the line Follow recipes and specs closely so every dish tastes the way it should, every time Keep your station and equipment clean, organized, and food-safe Work alongside the culinary team to keep the kitchen running smoothly on busy days WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR Solid knife skills, including safe, efficient, and consistent cuts (dice, julienne, chiffonade, mince) for vegetables, herbs, and proteins Someone who takes pride in doing things right, with attention to detail, consistency, and care A cook who can stay organized, prioritize tasks, and keep pace in a busy kitchen A team player who communicates clearly and jumps in to help teammates Kitchen experience is a plus, but a willingness to learn matters more Dough and bread experience is welcome but not required WHAT YOU'LL GAIN Hands-on training in fresh pasta, pizza dough, and bread-making, skills that stay with you for your whole career A supportive kitchen team that cares deeply about its craft Room to grow within Piatti and the wider Palisades Hospitality family Competitive pay of $19–$20 per hour, with full-time and part-time schedules available A LITTLE ABOUT US Established in 1987, Piatti is a fresh take on the neighborhood Italian trattoria, serving finely crafted, authentic Italian cuisine.
