Pharmacology Associate I (contract)

Summary The main function of a Pharmacology Associate is to support drug development and research by conducting laboratory experiments, analyzing pharmacological data, and assisting in the evaluation of drug efficacy and safety. A typical Pharmacology Associate works closely with scientists and cross-functional teams to advance therapeutic programs. Job Responsibilities Conduct in vivo experiments to assess drug activity and efficacy. Collect, analyze, and interpret pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic data, prepare reagents, maintain lab equipment, and manage sample inventory. Collaborate with research teams to support preclinical and clinical studies Assist in the development of protocols and standard operating procedures. Present findings in team meetings and contribute to scientific publications. Stay current with advancements in pharmacology and related technologies. Skills Strong understanding of pharmacological principles and in vivo laboratory techniques. Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., GraphPad Prism, Excel, R). Attention to detail and ability to follow complex protocols. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Experience with animal handling and dosing techniques is a plus. Education/Experience Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Pharmacology, Biology, Biochemistry, or related field. 0-2 years of experience in a research or pharmaceutical laboratory setting. Pay Rate Range 27 - 32 USD hourly Additional Notes Please note that contractors are engaged to provide services to Pfizer on a temporary basis in connection with a specific assignment. Contractors are hired and employed through Atrium, our third-party payrolling partner. This job posting is for a temporary role as an employee of Atrium on assignment at Pfizer. The individual selected for this role will be offered the role as an employee of Atrium; compensation, medical benefits, fringe benefits and other terms and conditions of employment shall be presented by Atrium upon offer. The pay rate range provided is a reasonable estimate of the anticipated compensation range for this job at the time of posting. The actual pay rate will be based on a number of factors, including skills, competencies, experience, location and/or being pursued and other job-related factors permitted by law. In addition, this role will be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements.
