HVAC Truck Based Mechanic (Union)

What you will do Perform maintenance, repair and replacement services on commercial heating and cooling systems. Provide the highest level of customer service to solve facility inefficiencies and resolve service‑related items. Act as a trusted advisor at commissioning and aftermarket service, providing solutions and outcomes. Recommend and provide solutions to keep facilities running efficiently, including upselling opportunities. Provide accurate quotes to support recommendations. Partner with Journeymen in the repair of centrifugal, steam turbines and open‑drive screw chillers. What we look for Must be a member or willing to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry (AFL‑CIO). Minimum three years of commercial/industrial mechanical troubleshooting experience in the HVAC industry (rooftop units, pumps, fans, towers, boilers, chillers, compressors, plumbing). Experience with mechanical shaft alignment using dial indicators and vibration equipment to troubleshoot drivelines. Willingness to travel 10%‑20% for branch customer support. Ability to pass a knowledge examination assessing proficiencies. Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to write and provide quotes to customers. Valid universal EPA refrigerants license, applicable state or local license, and a valid driver’s license. Self‑starter with a passion to learn and a commitment to prioritize safety. Compensation and Benefits Pay Range: $57.65 per hour, determined by the CBA/rate sheet. This is a Bargaining Unit Position. Benefits are provided through a local labor union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement.
