Materials Handler

Job TitlePrimarily responsible for the support of the DC by efficiently stocking inbound merchandise to designated locations in a timely manner.Schedule: Monday - Friday 4 AM - 12 PMPay: $18.00 and upSpecific ResponsibilitiesMust be able to transfer merchandise by using a stand up reach truck, sit down forklift, stock picker and/or pallet jack from staging area to primary pick locations and back to stock locations.Must be able to operate a handheld scanner.Must be able to understand the receiving label placed on the inbound merchandise to identify and place the merchandise into assigned locations.Must be able to identify merchandise and maintain primary pick locations.Must be able to accurately identify units of measure for proper placement of merchandise.Directly communicates with co-workers any identified location stocking errors.Must be able to meet quality and productivity standards.Ability to take direction from Supervisor.Excellent attendance and reliable predictability a mustAdheres to DC housekeeping guidelinesPerforms all other tasks and duties as assigned.*indicates nonessentialMinimum QualificationsHigh School diploma or GED preferredMust be committed to a high standard of safety and be willing to comply with all safety policies and practices.Excellent attendance recordMust be willing and able to work overtime when neededGood comprehension, organizational, and math skillsExcellent communication skills both verbal and writtenAbility to interact effectively with other departments and all levels of managementAbility to maintain records accurately and demonstrate problem solving skillsDemonstrated ability to prioritize work and to meet deadlinesMust be a team player with a can do attitudePower Equipment certification a plusMust be able to read, write, and speak EnglishPhysical RequirementsMust have the ability to meet physical assessment requirements for this positionSee Job Analysis and PPE requirements for this positionNOTE: When duties and responsibilities change and develop, the job description will be reviewed and subject to changes based on business necessity.
