TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Charleston, South Carolina, 29425!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night and Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience required License: Current RN License required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Charge experience preferred Description: Will work rotating shifts of 3x12 hours. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5. First-time travelers are accepted. Weekend work is required every other weekend and holidays as needed. The facility may float the clinician within their scope to meet needs. Block scheduling requires manager approval upon request. Local candidates are accepted within the radius specified. RTO restrictions apply; any time off that exceeds the limit will need approval. The facility reserves the right to call off one shift every two weeks. The medical-surgical unit provides private patient rooms. Patient populations include those with traumatic and orthopedic injuries, general surgery, and elective spine surgery, primarily hemodynamically stable. Adult and geriatric patients may be admitted based on capacity. The facility operates as a Level I Trauma Center and is a teaching facility. Total staffed beds are over 800. Charting is completed using an electronic system. Nurses are required to wear solid colors as part of the uniform policy. All staff members may be assigned to emergency response teams during critical situations. Travelers should be aware of hurricane season, which runs from June through November, with peak activity from August to September. Travelers must not have planned time off that will impact compliance deadlines.
