Position: HR Business Partner, North America
Location: Mountain View, California, USA
About the Company
We are a fast-growing global consumer technology company with a strong international footprint and a portfolio of innovative hardware and smart technology products. As our North American business continues to scale, we are looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to support local leadership, strengthen organizational effectiveness, and help build a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities
• Serve as the primary HR partner for the North America business, working closely with local leadership and functional managers to align people strategies with business objectives.
• Support organizational growth and workforce planning, including organization design, talent assessment, succession planning, and team effectiveness initiatives.
• Partner with business leaders to drive performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, performance improvement plans (PIP), and talent development programs.
• Advise managers on employee relations matters, employee engagement, performance issues, disciplinary actions, terminations, and compliance with U.S. labor and employment regulations.
• Support compensation and annual salary review processes, helping business leaders make informed decisions that balance talent retention, performance differentiation, and cost management.
• Coach and influence managers on leadership effectiveness, people management practices, organizational development, and building a high-performance culture.
• Partner closely with global HR teams to implement corporate HR policies, programs, and initiatives across the North America organization.
• Support hiring activities for key positions when required, including talent assessment, interview participation, and offer management.
• Drive employee engagement initiatives and facilitate effective communication between headquarters and local teams in a multicultural environment.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or above in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years in an HR Business Partner capacity supporting commercial, sales, marketing, customer service, operations, or similar business functions.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. employment law, employee relations, performance management, and HR best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to influence and coach senior leaders while balancing business objectives and employee needs.
• Experience supporting fast-growing, multinational, technology, consumer electronics, internet, or international business environments is highly preferred.
• Strong business acumen and organizational diagnostic skills, with the ability to translate business challenges into effective people solutions.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin Chinese is highly preferred.
