Dental Office Assistant

Business Assistant Addison Center Dental Care is seeking a Business Assistant to join our team. Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Friday 7:30 am–5:00 pm; Tuesday or Thursday 9:45 am–7:00 pm or 7:30 am–5:00 pm; one Saturday per month. About the Role Greet and welcome patients as they enter the office to create a great first impression. Manage front‑office duties, including answering phones, checking office mail and email, and communicating with patients and insurance companies. Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and records. Schedule and confirm appointments for multiple providers. File patient insurance claims, verify benefits, and follow up on outstanding claims. Post insurance and patient payments and process accounts receivables. Review treatment plan fees and payment options with patients. Partner with providers and the team to implement Heartland Dental systems to optimize office potential. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Will have access to the minimum PHI required for performing job‑related functions and will complete regular HIPAA training. Preferred Experience At least one year of experience in a dental or medical setting. At least one year of experience with insurance billing and accounts receivable. Experience with Dentrix or other dental software. Physical Requirements Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at times. Availability to attend virtual or in‑person training sessions periodically throughout the year. New hires must complete a tuberculosis (TB) test, except in FL & TN.
