Position Summary

Excelsior Ambulance Service, Inc. is seeking an exceptional Vice President of Operations to provide executive leadership for operations across Georgia, South Carolina, and Florida.

This position may be based anywhere within Florida, Georgia, or South Carolina. The successful candidate must be able and willing to travel extensively throughout the assigned region and to other Company locations as business needs require.

This is not a traditional regional operations role. We are seeking a dynamic, entrepreneurial, and highly engaged leader who sees opportunity where others see obstacles and possesses the drive, passion, creativity, and business acumen necessary to help build the next generation of ambulance services.

The Regional Vice President will have significant responsibility for business operations, growth, organizational culture, clinical quality, customer experience, financial performance, and organizational development across a rapidly expanding multi-state platform.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead and develop high-performing regional operations across Georgia, South Carolina, and Florida.
• Build and maintain a culture centered on safety, accountability, clinical excellence, professionalism, and exceptional patient care.
• Drive profitable organic growth and support the identification and integration of new market opportunities and acquisitions.
• Develop strong relationships with hospitals, health systems, skilled nursing facilities, physicians, payors, community partners, and other key customers.
• Establish clear operational standards, expectations, and accountability throughout the region.
• Improve organizational performance through data, technology, process improvement, and innovative operating models.
• Partner with senior leadership to develop and execute the Company's strategic growth plan.
• Recruit, develop, retain, and motivate exceptional leaders and frontline team members.
• Establish meaningful performance metrics and ensure consistent execution across markets.
• Champion clinical quality, patient safety, compliance, and regulatory performance.
• Improve fleet utilization, staffing efficiency, response performance, productivity, and overall operational performance.
• Lead organizational change while maintaining employee engagement and customer confidence.
• Identify opportunities to expand services, enter new markets, develop strategic partnerships, and create new revenue streams.
• Participate in acquisition due diligence, integration planning, and post-acquisition operational leadership.
• Represent the Company as a senior executive and ambassador throughout the Southeast.

Qualifications

Required

• Significant leadership experience in ambulance/EMS, healthcare transportation, healthcare services, or a closely related healthcare environment.
• Demonstrated success leading multi-location or multi-market operations.
• Strong financial and operational management skills.
• Experience developing leaders and managing high-performing teams.
• Demonstrated ability to lead organizational change and achieve measurable performance improvement.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and executive presence.
• Ability and willingness to travel significantly throughout Georgia, South Carolina, Florida, and other locations as business needs require.

Preferred

• Paramedic, EMT, or other relevant clinical background.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in healthcare administration, business, management, or a related field.
• Experience developing healthcare system partnerships and managing contractual relationships.
• Experience with acquisitions, integrations, startups, turnarounds, or high-growth organizations.
• Experience managing multi-state operations.
• Strong understanding of ambulance reimbursement, EMS operations, and healthcare economics.
