Make a meaningful difference for students by facilitating American Sign Language (ASL) support in school environments around Santa Fe and Albuquerque, NM. We're seeking a caring, adaptable professional to assist students during virtual physical therapy sessions at two school sites, ensuring everyone receives clear and effective communication.

You'll be working on a contract basis, mainly 1-2 days per week at each location, making this an ideal opportunity for those seeking part-time, impactful work during the academic year. Support a diverse group of students—ranging in age from 18 months to 22 years—each with unique communication needs, and help bridge connections in both early childhood and young adult learning environments.

Key Qualifications:

• Experience as a Paraprofessional or Sign Language Interpreter in an educational setting
• Proficiency in American Sign Language required
• Familiarity with supporting students with disabilities or special needs
• Ability to collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team, including virtual physical therapists
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Capable of working 1-2 days per week per location; flexibility to adjust hours based on school needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Facilitate communication between students and a virtual physical therapist through ASL
• Support students during therapy sessions and ensure their participation
• Serve as an ASL resource for staff and students as needed
• Travel between two designated schools in Santa Fe and Albuquerque (part-time at each)
• Maintain confidentiality and support a welcoming, inclusive classroom environment
