Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
The Emergency Room Registered Nurse provides critical patient care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. They are responsible for delivering compassionate, evidence-based nursing interventions and collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and prioritize patient conditions to determine appropriate care needs.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions following established protocols.
• Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status continuously, documenting changes accurately.
• Collaborate with physicians, support staff, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
• Educate patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatments, and post-discharge care.
• Adhere to hospital policies, safety standards, and compliance regulations.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active PA or Compact Registered Nurse license.
• Possess a minimum of 1 year of ER nursing experience.
• Maintain current AHA certifications, including BLS and ACLS.
• Demonstrate excellent clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Be willing to float within the hospital and to sister facilities as needed.
• Complete required compliance steps, including fingerprinting, drug screens, and labs within specified timeframes.
