1 year minimum mechanical engineering experience; additional internship, co-op, or project experience preferred. May be required to work and/or travel as necessary to meet project schedules and/or accomplish goals and objectives. JOB FUNCTIONS: Support mechanical design and analysis on assigned components and subsystems with little guidance. Create or update models, layouts, drawings, and supporting calculations following standards and references. Assist with BOM creation, documentation updates, and release support activities. Intermediate knowledge of major assemblies, functions, design requirements, and performance expectations of company products. Support manufacturing, purchasing, and assembly with technical questions as assigned. Participate in and document design reviews, technical discussions, and problem-solving activities as directed. Learn and apply company standards, safety requirements, and engineering practices to assigned work. Work with designers/drafters and engineers to support documentation content and accuracy. Maintain organized technical records and clear documentation of assigned work. Communicate technical information effectively across departments (electrical engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, management, etc.). Practice continuous improvement to reduce costs with the department and company. Participate in job planning and scheduling. Take responsibility to ensure projects/tasks meet goals for cost, schedule and product performance. Perform other duties as assigned.
