Cath Lab Technician

Note - Travel Experience Required Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cath Lab Technician to join our cardiovascular team. The Cath Lab Technician will assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, ensuring patient safety and supporting high-quality outcomes. This role involves preparing equipment, monitoring patients, and maintaining compliance with hospital and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities Prepare and maintain the catheterization laboratory, ensuring all equipment and supplies are ready for procedures. Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures, including angioplasty, stent placement, and pacemaker implantation. Operate specialized imaging and monitoring equipment during procedures. Monitor patient vital signs and provide immediate support in case of complications. Maintain sterile technique and infection control standards throughout procedures. Document patient information, procedure details, and equipment usage accurately in medical records. Perform equipment checks, calibrations, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver safe and effective patient care. Support emergency procedures as required. Required Qualifications Associate’s degree or diploma in Cardiovascular Technology or related field. Must have at least 2 years of recent experience in the specialty within the past 2 years. Strong knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and catheterization procedures. Proficiency in operating imaging and monitoring equipment. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Preferred Qualifications (if any) Bachelor’s degree in Cardiovascular Technology or related field. Prior experience in interventional cardiology or electrophysiology labs. Ability to adapt quickly in high-pressure situations. Certifications (if any) Basic Life Support (BLS) – required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – preferred.
