Senior Accountant

About Subterranean Boring Inc. is a pioneering leader in the raisebore contracting and manufacturing industry, established in 1980 and located in Golden, Colorado. We pride ourselves on innovation, integrity, and a steadfast commitment to excellence in everything we do. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to oversee full-cycle accounting operations, month-end close processes, and financial reporting activities. The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing AP/AR functions, reconciliations, payroll, tax filings, and audit support while helping improve accounting workflows and financial accuracy. Key Responsibilities Manage full-cycle accounting processes, including journal entries, accruals, allocations, reconciliations, and month-end close activities Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoicing, collections, vendor payments, and expense tracking Perform reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts to ensure financial accuracy and integrity Process payroll and manage employee expense reporting in compliance with company policies Prepare and file sales tax, use tax, excise tax, payroll tax, and other required filings Support external audits by preparing audit schedules and maintaining organized supporting documentation Respond to tax notices and assist with regulatory compliance requirements Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement efficiencies within accounting operations Collaborate with management to provide financial insights and reporting support Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required Multi-industry accounting experience preferred Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting best practices Experience with month-end close and financial reporting Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting software systems Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities Preferred Skills Experience supporting growing or fast-paced organizations Ability to streamline workflows and improve accounting processes Strong communication and collaboration skills across departments Benefits & Pay Full-time, On-Site, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Salary range of $90,000–$97,000, depending on experience Benefits: 401(k) matching, dental insurance, health insurance, PTO, and more Location Golden, CO #J-18808-Ljbffr
