VAN/BUS DRIVER AS NEEDED (POOL)

GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Drives and operates bus to transport residents within the City of Miramar. Drives handicapped accessible bus for fixed and non-fixed passenger route. Assists handicapped and senior passengers in embarking and disembarking vehicles. Transports department program participants, City officials, residents and guests, etc., as required for various events. Performs daily pre- and post-trip inspections on vehicles. Maintains various logs, checklists, etc. Assists in program activities as required. Interacts and communicates with immediate supervisor, other departmental supervisors and employees, other City personnel, clients/passengers, and the general public.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM WORK

Requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent supplemented by driving training and/or experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Must possess a valid state class "B" CDL driver's license with passenger endorsement and an approved Florida Department of Transportation Medical Examination Report for Bus Transit System Driver. Must obtain First Aid and CPR certifications. Employee will be subjected to a level I and level II background screening, and random drug and alcohol testing. #J-18808-Ljbffr City of Miramar
