Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

$2692.80/week - Job Summary: Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit, ensuring the safety and well-being of mothers and newborns throughout the childbirth process. Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care in a high-acuity environment. Responsibilities: Assess laboring patients to monitor progress and detect any complications. Deliver direct patient care, including labor support, delivery assistance, and postnatal care. Maintain accurate and complete documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes. Demonstrate professionalism by adhering to policies, maintaining confidentiality, and actively pursuing professional growth. Respond to patient and family inquiries with courtesy and empathy, ensuring a positive patient experience. Follow safety protocols, including patient identification, universal precautions, and emergency procedures, to promote a secure environment. Qualifications: Current RN license required. Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, with an Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Strong assessment skills and knowledge of labor and delivery procedures. Ability to work effectively in a high-risk, fast-paced labor and delivery setting. Demonstrate competence in emergency protocols and equipment use. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
