Payroll AssociateLocation: Moline, IL, 61265-5884 Duration: 12+ months of W2 contractJob Description:Process and analyze time, earnings, and deductions/withholdings on a weekly basis to derive accurate net pay in compliance with union contracts and Human Resource/unit policiesIndependently analyze and resolve complex payroll issuesCommunicate with employees of various levels regarding pay questions, processes, and trainingBuild and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with peers, unit partners, and other functional areasRequired Skills:High attention to detail and accuracyStrong analytical skills and experience with complex data analysisStrong interpersonal communication and teamwork skillsAbility to quickly learn multiple Payroll/IT software systemsAbility to approach change with a positive mindsetAbility to identify and implement process improvementsExperience using Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel, Outlook, and WordMature candidates who can handle confidential informationDesired Skills:Knowledge of payroll and payroll taxExperience maintaining confidential informationProficiency with SAPExperience using IBM/Host applications, such as TSO (Time Sharing Option) and RMDS (Report Management and Distribution System)Education:Associate or bachelor's degree in a business or accounting discipline or equivalent experienceShift Information:Here are the shift hours for this position- Monday and Tuesday: start time is 6:30 (this is when payroll is run as a team). Wednesday-Friday: Shift start time can be flexibleThis position will work onsite.Cross border work is not permitted for this role. Business casual dress code. Visa sponsorship is not available, now or in the near future, for this positionCompensation:The hourly rate for this position is between $22.00-24.00 per hour.
